I Hate Poetry
A chaotic deep dive into the world of poetry - produced and hosted by yours truly alongside my literature-loving mate, Charlie Pidcock. What started as a few sarcastic jabs at a poem quickly spiraled into a full-blown audio experiment: could poetry actually be... fun? In I Hate Poetry, Charlie tries to convert the ever-skeptical Dylan by dragging him (often kicking and screaming) through verses old and new. Expect wild interpretations, brutal honesty, and genuine moments of discovery in this unexpected celebration of language, humour, and friendship. This podcast blends irreverence with insight—offering a fresh way into poetry for people who think they hate it... and those who know they don’t.

Engaging A Community
Building a genuine relationship with the online poetry community was a big key to my marketing strategy. Inviting listeners to submit their own poems for us to feature in the show became a signature part of the our show’s format. This not only gave us a rich mix of content but created a sense of shared ownership in the project. By spotlighting community-submitted work on our website and social platforms, we gave poets a stage and a sense of recognition—many of whom expressed their appreciation for having their writing showcased in a fresh, entertaining context. It created an instant connection to our show.
